One of the major problems I seem to run into when creating our Gift Guides is that my list of wants grows exponentially as I hunt down the best handbag finds on the web. The focus of this guide are trendy bags. There are two types of trendy: wear-once pieces, and fun, yet wearable pieces.
I focused on the latter. These nine bags have all the right touches of current trends while still being great wardrobe staples.

Saying “orange, pink, and mustard” doesn’t sound very appealing but looking at orange, pink, and mustard on this Lucky Chyc Color-Block Tote by Yves Saint Laurent is another story altogether. Throw in some taupe, dark brown, and off-white and you’ve got an earthy but very modern take on color blocking. Details include visible black quilt stitch trim, very thin rolled leather double top handles, a “Y” compartment on the front exterior, protective feet, and a taupe twill lining with brown leather interior pouch pockets. Two views of the versatile 5 in 1 Dress, designed by Sonja den Elzen of Thieves Boutique in Toronto. Made of tencel jersey, the dress can be worn sleeveless, with the sleeves tied around the waist at the front or back. The ties can also turn into sleeves to create a shorter, long-sleeved dress with a cowl neck. Or the sleeves can be pulled up and tied at the back of the neck (as a halter) for a shorter dress and deeper cowl.
